Did you guys see this link that Benjamin sent us a few days ago for the GSO Hack-a-thon? I think this could be really cool for some us to do! Greenhill Art Gallery is “looking for creative ways to better understand who is visiting, what they like and how they might develop deeper visitor engagement. Students will be presented with an overview of GreenHill, see how patrons interact with art during a First Friday event, then work in teams over the weekend to “hack” a solution.” Even better, the winning team gets $500! I thought this works off of what we have been talking about with visitor engagement so far this semester, it it might be a good way to put our newly learned skills and evaluation techniques to practice. I can’t go Friday night, and I emailed the manager of this event and he said it would be fine to just come on Saturday. Would anyone else be interested in doing this?
