Interactive Exhibit at the National Museum of African Art

Check this out!  This is such a cool exhibit by Emeka Ogbah at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African Art in Washington, DC. Visually simplistic, the exhibit is essentially just full of speakers that play sounds, music, and noise from an open-air market in Lagos. Depending on where you are standing, the sounds are different, just like if you were walking through the market. This entire exhibit is one giant experience. I thought it was really cool!

  1. All I can say that this exhibit is dope!! This exhibit does more than allow the visitor to experience the sound of a street market but it allows the visitor to take a journey Lagos market making them feel that they are physically there. This exhibit would be even more awesome if allowed all the visitors sense to be triggered which would take the visitors experience step further to actually physically being at the Lagos market. I would love to visit this museum.
